The short version: we don't keep your drafts. To rewrite a post we send it to an AI provider and pass the result straight back to you. To enforce the free daily limit we keep a random visitor ID, your IP address and a count of your rewrites for up to 48 hours. Accounts are optional; if you sign in, we also keep your email address. We don't sell data, show ads, or ask for your LinkedIn login.

Who runs this site

Simple LinkedIn Rewriter is an independent project and is not affiliated with LinkedIn. For any privacy question or request, email xiarui091@gmail.com.

What we process and why

The drafts you rewrite

When you press Rewrite, your draft and the tone you picked are sent to our server and on to an AI provider, which writes the new version. We don't save drafts or rewrites in a database or in our logs.

So that a refresh or a closed tab doesn't lose your work, the draft you're writing is kept in your own browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us this way. Pressing Clear, or emptying the box, removes it.

We use two providers:

Because of this, don't paste confidential information, or personal details about other people that they haven't agreed to share.

Counting free rewrites

Free visitors get 5 rewrites a day. To count them we use:

Each day's counts are stored in our database (Upstash Redis) against that ID and IP address, and are deleted automatically after 48 hours. If the database is unavailable we count in a signed cookie called slr_use instead, which expires after 2 days.

When someone enters an invite code, we also count attempts per IP address for one hour to stop people guessing codes.

Invited access

If you enter a valid invite code without signing in, your browser tab keeps a signed pass in session storage. It's deleted when you close the tab, and expires after 12 hours either way. If you're signed in, invited access is saved on your account instead and lasts until you sign out. Either way you can end it anytime with "Switch to free plan".

Accounts (optional)

You can use the site without an account. If you choose to sign in:

You can delete your account yourself at any time under Your account → Delete account. That removes it from Supabase together with the invited access and usage counts linked to it. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.

Hosting, fonts and analytics

What we don't do

Why we're allowed to process it

Rewriting your draft is the service you ask for when you press Rewrite, and keeping your account is the service you ask for when you sign in. Counting usage, limiting invite attempts and keeping basic hosting logs are needed to run the free plan fairly and keep the site secure, which is our legitimate interest.
